Ahead of #ACUI21 Next Week: Don’t Miss Fundraising Events & Virtual Expo
ACUI’s 2021 Virtual Annual Conference, set for March 3-5, has attracted a record number of registrants, surpassing 2,500 prospective attendees this week. The conference will bring higher education professionals together for educational sessions, networking, a virtual expo, and fundraising.
In addition to the conference, next week will see several fundraising events to support the Education and Research Fund, which has now raised more than $50,000 and awarded 20 grants to allow professionals and students to continue their membership, access educational resources, and participate in professional development programs.
Even if you’re not attending the conference, you can register for these fundraising events. Pre-registration is required, but there’s still time to sign up at the ACUI website. Pre-registration costs $20 for each event. Take a look at the fundraising events we have planned below!
Virtual Happy Hour: Beer Experience
Learn about and sample four beer styles, hear a little history of various beer styles, and walk away with some insight to inform your future purchases. Attendees will be encouraged to purchase select styles prior to the happy hour event. Come prepared with questions, and to enjoy a pint with your fellow ACUI members!
Virtual Happy Hour: Wine Experience
Learn about tasting, different stemware, wine trails, membership clubs and the all-important celebratory toasts! Each person attending will be encouraged to purchase some or all of the following prior to the tasting: a Sauvignon Blanc, a Pinot Noir, a Rose, and a champagne/sparkling wine. Come for the conversation and raise a glass for ACUI!
Trivia Fundraiser
Join colleagues from across ACUI for an interactive evening of virtual trivia presented by Big Town Productions. Engage in multiple rounds of game play spanning a variety of topics, including ACUI history and a flashback session on 2010’s ACUI Annual Conference in New York City. While trying to earn prizes, participants can also connect with other members of the ACUI family while enjoying this unique online trivia platform that will test your knowledge.
ACUI Active 30 Minutes of FUNd
During the week of the 2021 Virtual Conference, keep the energy up by engaging in 30 minutes of physical activity of your choosing. The possibilities are endless, and you have the flexibility to complete your activity whenever it fits into your schedule during the week. Participants will be encouraged to wear their ACUI gear or purple while being active and sharing a photo on social media to connect with others during the week.
Silent Auction
Bid high, and bid often! With items including gift cards, baskets, snacks, and virtual experiences, anyone will be able to explore items through the online auction platform and place their bids. If you are interested in donating an item to the auction, please complete this form.
