The Leading Through Change Symposium, is a unique opportunity for mid- to senior-level higher education professionals to refine their leadership skills within environments of change, innovation, and adaptability.

With dedicated educational and networking opportunities, attendees will return to campus with ideas, tools, and networks to inspire teams, operate more effectively, and lead through change.  ACUI and NCCI (Network for Change and Continuous Innovation) are excited to partner for this inaugural program to support higher education leaders in their learning development.  

This symposium—originally scheduled for December 12–14—will now take place on January 23–26.

Format & Learning Outcomes

Attendees of the Leading Through Change Symposium will explore:   

  • Authentic, identity conscious, emotionally intelligent leadership and supervision  
  • Strategically aligning goals with evidence-based decision making  
  • Creating space for organizational excellence and innovative program design  
  • Communication strategies for getting buy-in, developing staff, and leading through change  
  • Considerations for allocating staff and financial resources to support organizational needs 

Through a three-day virtual event, the format would include: 

  • Workshop sessions featuring guest speakers, talks, and panels 
  • Reflection breakout session for peer-to-peer learning  
  • Facilitated follow up session for attendees a few months after the program
