Cancellation Policies

Online Courses

Payment for all fees is due at the time of registration. All fees are listed in U.S. dollars. International currency will be accepted at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of payment. Cancellations processed up to one week prior to the program will receive a refund. No credits or refunds will be issued beginning one week prior to the program.

ACUI reserves exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule, or cancel this program for any reason. If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date. Any incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, ACUI will determine an equitable basis for the refund or credit of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.

2022 Regional Conferences

Payment for all fees is due at the time of registration. All fees are listed in U.S. dollars. International currency will be accepted at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of payment.

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to . Cancellations processed by the early registration deadline will be refunded, less a $50 processing charge. Cancellations processed between the early registration deadline and 10 days prior to the published conference start date will be refunded, less a $150 processing charge. No credits or refunds will be issued starting 10 days prior to the published conference start date.

Unpaid cancellation fees and no-shows are billed. Substitutions are gladly accepted at any time; to substitute an attendee, email .

2023 Aspiring Directors Institute
  • Registrants who need to cancel their registration can transfer their registration to another individual at their organization free of charge. Cancellations where no other individual is being substituted can request to have moneys either refunded or a credit can be issued to their account.
  • All cancellations and refund requests are to be emailed to finance@acuho-i.org
  • Refunds requests will be processed in accordance with the following guidelines:
    • Refunds processed prior to June 6 will be refunded minus a $75 processing fee
    • Refunds processed June 8 and after will be refunded minus a $75 processing fee and a $350 cancellation fee.
  • ACUHO-I allows for the transfer of event registration to another person from the same institution at no cost. Contact finance@acuho-i.org to request a transfer.
  • Refunds will not be granted for no-shows. You are considered a no-show if you have not notified ACUHO-I of your cancellation by the time onsite check-in opens at the conference. Delegates assume responsibility for notification and verification of cancellation receipt by ACUHO-I.
2023 Annual Conference
  • Payment for all fees is due at the time of registration. All fees are listed in U.S. dollars. International currency will be accepted at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of payment.
  • All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to acui@acui.org. Cancellations processed by December 8 will be refunded, less a $50 processing charge. Cancellations process between December 9–January 26 will be refunded, less a $150 processing charge. No credits will be issued beginning January 27. If payment has been received prior to cancellation, refunds will be issues, less fees, after the conference. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis resulting from requests made in writing to acui@acui.org

  • ACUI is not responsible for cancellation of any travel, hotel, or other arrangements related to participation in this event nor any cancellation fees from those arrangements.

Appropriate Behavior at ACUI Events

ACUI is committed to providing welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environments at its conferences and events. During our programs, we want all participants to share ideas, network, and enjoy the company of others, and we recognize that our ability to create this experience depends on the behavior of all in attendance. 

Event participants, speakers, staff, volunteers, service providers, guests, and exhibitors are expected to conduct themselves according to ACUI’s core values, and the ethical standards of the profession. All members of the ACUI community are to be considerate; refrain from any demeaning, harassing, or discriminatory behavior or speech; and immediately comply with any requests to discontinue objectionable behavior. The following are examples of unacceptable behavior:  

  • Offensive, hostile, or derogatory comments. 
  • Disruptive actions unrelated to the intended purpose of the event. 
  • Conduct that demonstrates a lack of professionalism or respect for another individual.  

Individuals who witness or experience inappropriate behavior should notify a staff member immediately. Incidents can also be reported by completing this online form. ACUI reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the event without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior.   

Bias, discrimination, harassment, or retaliation by or against any member of the Association community is strictly prohibited and will be addressed according to the policy established by the Board of Trustees. 

Videography and photography are strictly prohibited. Photos and recordings are only allowed with the permission of the presenter. Any recording or photo should respect the presenter’s rights and not be disruptive. 

Media Release

Registrants understand that they may be the subject of photographs, audio recordings, or videos that will be taken during this event and that such media will be included in ACUI’s stock files. By registering, individuals grant ACUI or its designees permission to photograph and record them, and waive compensation or approval rights to the future use of media from this event.
