Keynote: Laila Ireland
Laila Ireland

Laila Ireland served for 12 years in the U.S. Army; she was honorably discharged and medically retired in November 2015. On June 4, 2015, Ireland and her then-fiancé Staff Sergeant Logan Ireland came out as transgender service members by sharing their story in the short film "Transgender, at War, and in Love.” Find out more about Ireland.

She is the co-Founder, CEO and Chief Community Architect of Daybreaker, the early morning dance and wellness movement that currently holds events in 25 cities and over a dozen college campuses around the world with a community of almost half a million people. This panel will highlight local individuals who will share their connection with the city, issues/obstacles the city faces (and has faced), and improvements they've made as a community member.
