This Association-level planning position is ideal for those interested in collaborating to create experiences that engage members through events, research, fundraising, and other opportunities.

The Online Learning Team is responsible for creating experiences to engage members through online technologies. Members assist in the coordination and creation of online learning initiatives, develop direction and vision for online learning opportunities, and use the online learning platforms to deliver notes and resources.  
 
Reporting to the Online Engagement Specialist, for a two-year term, team members are responsible for:
  • Assisting with coordination of online learning initiatives, especially for specific areas of interest, including recruiting knowledge-based experts and/or interested volunteers to present/facilitate programs, and developing competency-based learning outcomes and program assessment into online learning initiatives.
  • Collaborating with other members on a comprehensive calendar of online learning initiatives for the Association.
  • Assisting in developing a direction and vision for the online learning opportunities that is in line with the strategic direction of the Association.
  • Utilizing features of the ACUI website to deliver any educational notes, recaps, or resources for online learning initiatives with which you are involved.
  • Assessing the needs of the membership and make appropriate recommendations on how additional online technologies can be utilized to deliver educational content to members.

Qualifications

At the time of application, individuals must have: employment at a higher education institution; institutional or individual membership; a signed institutional support form; and a commitment to fulfilling the duties of the position for the length of the term. Applicants must also demonstrate an understanding of ACUI’s vision, core values, and core competencies, as well as the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. 


Time Commitment

Association planning volunteer positions require a commitment of two years. While projects vary by season and role, over the course of the term, volunteers should anticipate approximately four hours of conference call and project work per month.
