Thinking about who you might like to nominate for a position on the ACUI Board of Trustees or whether you would like to nominate yourself? Helpful information is included on this page to assist in that process.
The typical timeline for this process begins with the nomination period, which opens mid-September and closes early October.

The application for professional members to stand for election to the 2012–13 Board of Trustees is now closed.
Application for At-Large and President positions
An application consists of three things:
1. A completed Ballot Information Form including:
Information on:
- Educational background
- Last 10 relevant workshop and/or seminar facilitations, teaching, research, or publications
- Relevant ACUI volunteer experiences
Statement of candidacy(500 word limit):
- What do you believe are the most important strategic issues facing
the Association within the next three to five years and how should the
Association effectively respond?
- Given the Board of Trustees position description, what skills,
abilities, and experience do you possess that would contribute to your
success as an effective board member?
2. A completed Institutional Support Form [.pdf]
3. A personal photo (300 dpi; all major formats are acceptable)
Deadline
Completed applications are due in the
ACUI Central Office no later than Oct. 6, 2010. Voting will begin Nov.
8, 2010 and continue until 11 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 3.

Application for the Student position
An application consists of four things:
1. A completed Ballot Information Form including:
Information on:
- ACUI background
- Reason for interest
- Relevant leadership experiences
2. A letter of support from faculty or staff member
3. A completed and signed volunteer agreement form
4. A personal photo (300 dpi; all major formats are acceptable)
Deadline
Completed applications are due in the
ACUI Central Office no later than Friday, April 26, 2013. This is a one year term appointed in May to begin work the first board meeting in June.
