I'm interested in knowing what data is collected and/or metrics are tracked in an effort to tell your union's story. How do you demonstrate what you do? How do you show that you are making a difference in the life of your students?

Please also indicate methods used to collect this data.  Thanks.

Mike,

The ACUI/EBI is a tool we have been using for years now.

Just an example of how we use it would be in our annual report, bullets like:

90% of our students said that the Union staff is courteous, knowledgable and available.

88% believe that the Union activities enhance their overall educational experience.

87% feel that the Union activities expose them to new and different ideas...etc.

Hope this is helpful.

Bill

We too, have used EBI.  Recently, our administration has joined the NASPA consortium effort called Student Voice.  We found that the data we collected on the later, mirrored that which we collected in EBI.  As our administration has bought into Student Voice, we will continue to utilized that instrument in the future.  Jim
