Social Media friends & colleagues,

On behalf of the 2011 Annual Conference Program Team I'd like to invite you to make this year's conference your kind of conference by actively participating in the event.  I know that the central office has already sent out a reminder to submit program proposals, but I'd like to personally invite you to do so as the June 18th deadline approaches.  

Chicago is going to be a great conference centered on innovation and collaboration, I'd invite you to share your good programs, services, and practices with the rest of the Association.  This year you will notice some changes that we're really excited about, including the introduction of poster sessions and increased tech educational programming.  

I'd like to expressly invite members of this CoP to submit education proposals on technology and social media topics.  At the NYC conference there was great buzz about the short sessions that were called the "Tech Lab" those sessions will be back this year and we're looking to expand the program. Please submit your ideas for programs.

Another exciting bit of news about the conference is that hotel rates in the conference location will be less expensive than in NYC (we're even more affordable that NASPA was this year at the same property), and generally more affordable meal options will be available near the hotel.  If you purchase a registration voucher before August 1st you'll lock in this year's conference rate for next year as well.
