Art/Decor in your building

We are getting ready to address this in our building and was wondering if anyone had any policies or procedures on determining what is put in common and/or meeting room areas for art and other decor. 


Also, how have you "themed" your meeting rooms, suites, etc.?

 The K-State Student Union has several meeting rooms that feature different cultural themes, i.e., African-American, Hispanic, Native American, or Asian-themed artwork.  People appreciate that their cultures/backgrounds are featured within the Union.  We also have flags from countries from every current or past student featured permanently in Little Theatre.

We have 9 meeting rooms in our Center for Student Leadership and Service that are all themed to something unique/interesting about Ohio, in keeping with the larger theme of Ohio throughout the building.  Rooms pay tribute to our 7 US presidents, historic "firsts" from Ohio, symbols of the state, various destinations, etc.

We don't post "fine art" per say because our building does not have security for it. We have some standard posters around themes like diversity and culture and leadership. We also have several rooms with framed posters from some of our student groups' signature events. That helps enforce the student ownership feeling of the building.
