Hello All,
I am looking for criteria used when posting items to your campus's
digital signage/electronic bulletin boards.
Please send me a link or the document.
I apologize for any cross postings.
Thanks,

Mary, Did you get any direct responses or responses from other sources to your question? We are (finally) looking at this issue on a campus-wide basis, so I too would love to hear what kinds of policies and guideline are out there for posting on digital media.
We are looking at a system that would be more building by building, with only some campus-wide posts in common, so having a uniform procedure and policy will be helpful to those who will be saddled with managing requests.
We are hoping to earn some income from our signage too, so if there are commercial recommendations, that would be great too!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Mary, we only post for events in the student center since it is on the same digital signage as our schedule. Here is a link to our posting policy.

We use TEA Axis TV as our digital signage and groups can send in the request with a powerpoint slide or picture we upload directly to the program.

Mary,
We have two different systems within our building. We manage 10 dual-screen kiosks throughout our building that displays announcements for events taking place with our building only . You can find the Campus Center's online submission form as well as design specifications at: http://life.iupui.edu/campus-center/events/signage.php. The other system (we do not manage) displays campus-wide announcements. Their policy can be found here: http://jagtv.iupui.edu/jagtv/policy/.
We currently use Omnivex as our Digital Signage software, but will be switching over to Four Winds Interactive. Indiana University has standardized on one digital signage enterprise software for the ease of pushing out emergency notifications campus wide.
I hope this helps you out. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

We developed our own system in-house. Priority for posting in the system is given to student union events, activities, and news. I've attached a copy of our policy

Hi Mary and others,
Digital advertising is one of several different advertising services that we rent to student organizations and university departments here at Michigan. My office, the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC), coordinates the use of all these spaces.
Content requirements apply to all our services, including plywood "Diag boards," outdoor banners, signs on campus buses, table tents in eateries, and last but not least, digital advertising. We partner with Campus Computing Sites to push static digital content on about 25 screens. It's a continuous cycle of random .jpg files that change every 15-20 seconds. The system for this was created in-house, but we also use Axis to show content on a portion of the screens in our Unions.
Here's more about SORC's content requirements:

Reach me directly at sundholm@umich.edu if you have specific questions that the website does not address.
