I-LEAD® 2017 Scholarship

The Institute for Leadership Education and Development (I-LEAD®) is ACUI’s premier student program, designed to emphasize the key concept areas of leadership, community development, and change. I-LEAD® offers an opportunity for the college students to focus on personal growth and other issues facing our world. The institute prepares students to develop skills that will serve them as leaders in any situation, regardless of role, organization, or environment.

Two sessions of I-LEAD® are offered this year: June 4–9 at the University of Massachusetts–Lowell and July 23–28 at Kansas State University.

Region I is offering a $500 student scholarship for I-LEAD® to be used toward the registration fee.

IPDS 2017 Scholarship

IPDS: New Professionals Orientation has been refined over its more than 40-year existence. The program offers participants an opportunity to share information, exchange materials, learn new techniques and theories, discuss opportunities and threats, and network with colleagues in a challenging and supportive environment. Anyone who is new to the college union and student activities profession should attend regardless of title. Because the program format facilitates a small-group feel, the bonds formed with colleagues can last a lifetime.

IPDS New Professional Orientation will be at University of Wisconsin–Madison, June 12–16.

Region I is offering one professional scholarship for $500 toward attending IPDS: New Professionals Orientation.

Women’s Leadership Institute Scholarship

The Women’s Leadership Institute is the premier program for women leaders across campus. The program is held at a resort-style location to maximize learning and minimize distractions, and is designed for women who aspire to new leadership positions on campus. The institute features a curriculum with an overall focus on building the next generation of leaders in higher education administration and student affairs. This is a wonderful program for women of all ages to come together to learn and network with one another, forming bonds that will last a lifetime.

The Women's Leadership Institute will be in Amelia Island, Fla., Dec. 3–6.

The 2018 annual conference will be in Anaheim, Calif, March 18–22.
