The 41st annual ACUI Clay Target Championships was held March 18–22 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. More than 335 students from 37 institutions participated in the event, which is an 11 percent increase over the previous year and the largest field of players to date. Results for the clay targets tournament are listed below.
This year’s event received much media attention. The National Shooting Sports Foundation featured articles and video on its website; The National Rifle Association covered the event in its blog along with interviewing ACUI Director of Educational Programs and Services Michelle Smith for its radio and web broadcast; and Shooting Sports USA reported on the Clay Targets Tournament. Additionally, the tournament will be aired on ESPN-U in June and ESPN2 in July.
