Annual Conference
ACUI’s annual conference is the epicenter of networking and learning for campus community builders. The educational content is provided by ACUI members, associate members, and other invited educators and speakers.

Educational program
Typically about 1,200 individuals from undergraduate students to senior-level professionals and retirees participate in the annual conference. While each year is different, the four days of the conference feature:
- About 100 educational sessions designated by core competencies
- Keynote speeches
- Tours to local campuses and points of interest
- Educational learning tracks for various audiences
- Preconference workshops and extended learning sessions
- ACUI Expo, an exhibit and buying show of 75–100 companies
- Architecture and Design Showcase
- Steal this Idea marketing competition winners
- Case study competitions for undergraduate and graduate students
- Community Builders Awards Ceremony
- Off-site regional dinners and community events
- Meetings of ACUI's leadership and component groups
- Fundraising activities to benefit the ACUI Education and Research Fund
- Battle of the Regions recreational tournament
- ACUI Bookstore
- ACUI Registry Employment Service Job Fair
Planning the annual conference
The annual conference is planned by the Conference Program Team (CPT). The chairperson(s) are appointed by the Board of Trustees two years in advance. The chairperson then selects a committee of approximately 12 ACUI members to help plan the conference’s educational and social programs.
