Student Organization Advisors

The Student Organization Advisors Community of Practice is a network of professionals who advise student organizations. This community of practice is open to all ACUI members and serves as an educational, networking, and professional development forum. Community members will enhance and share their knowledge about the issues that face advisors at institutions of higher education by doing the following:

  • Offering and encouraging content and relevant educational sessions at conferences and programs that are reflective of ACUI’s core competencies.
  • Writing articles for ACUI publications and developing online tools.
  • Developing and sharing best practices.
  • Discussing trends, ideas, issues, challenges, and successes.
  • Sharing information such as resources, tools, documents, experiences, and data.
  • Providing networking opportunities to develop and encourage relationships.
  • Facilitating peer-to-peer connections to enhance student learning.
  • Advocating on behalf of and supporting members’ needs.
