Central Office Staff
The Central Office is a busy place, representing the hub of ACUI activities throughout the year. We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers, and our staff puts a lot of time and energy into supporting those volunteers and providing the resources our members find so valuable.
The ACUI Central Office is only a few keystrokes or phone call away. You are also welcome to visit us should you be traveling through beautiful Bloomington, Ind. Informal visits are welcome without notice; should you desire to meet with specific staff, please contact them in advance to arrange a meeting to ensure their availability.

Chief Executive Officer
John reports directly to and is a member of the Board of Trustees, supervises the Central Office staff, and serves as the ACUI liaison to other organizations. He works with the Board of Trustees to advance all Association stated goals and purposes.
Director of Content Curation
Elizabeth oversees ACUI’s content development and delivery. This includes serving as editor of The Bulletin magazine and as the liaison to the Education Council. Additionally, Elizabeth manages the Association’s diversity and inclusion efforts and liaises with the regional inclusivity coordinators.
Events and Operations Coordinator
Jake manages the Central Office work team dedicated to ACUI’s regional conferences and is the primary coordinator for planning and operation of the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (CSHEMA) annual conference. He is also a member of a three-person staff team primarily responsible for the ACUI annual conference. Jake formerly served the Association on the Conference Management Team and as the collegiate recreation and leisure activities coordinator
Anna operates the ACUI Promos program. She supports members and the Association by generating non-membership dues revenue, as well as by leading the strategic marketing and planning efforts behind ACUI Promos and ACUI Procure.
Corporate Partnerships Coordinator
Brandt manages ACUI's blog The Commons, coproduces ACUI and CSHEMA newsletters, and assists in editorial duties for the website, Bulletin, program materials, and other print and online content.
Educational Credentialing Designer
Will serves as the educational credentialing and digital badging program designer. He is responsible for designing and developing a potential credentialing and digital badging program that will expand education content delivery methods and validate individual member competence. Will is responsible for researching and advising on digital badging and instructional systems platforms for credentialing program.
Financial Services Manager
Karen manages the financial and accounting functions for ACUI and the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA). This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. She also liaises with the regional business managers and oversees the annual financial audits with an external firm.
Corporate Partnerships Manager
Allie manages the recruitment, development, and retention of corporate partners and supports the relationships between institutional members and associate members. Additionally, Allie is part of the Corporate Partnerships Development Team, where she contributes to new, innovative ideas, programs, and initiatives to promote the ongoing success of sponsorship, the Expo, associate membership, advertising, and the department as a whole.
Andrea serves as the primary graphic designer and video production specialist for ACUI.
Member Services Representative
Allison supports members as the primary customer service representative for ACUI, including processing transactions and registrations, answering questions about programs and services, and developing procedures to support the service needs of members.
Collegiate Recreation and Leisure Activities Coordinator
Adrena manages the competitive student recreation activities for the Association. Her work in 9-Ball, Table Tennis, and Clay Targets reaches students who connect to the college union idea through their passion for the sport which is often played in the union. She works with the student programs team volunteers and tournament directors for each of these sports. Additionally, she handles all apparel sales for the ACUI Promos program. Adrena is a 2012 graduate of James Madison University.
Deana supports members and membership initiatives, coordinates office operations, and is the primary customer service representative for ACUI and the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA).
Educational Program Coordinator
Special Projects Assistant
Reid supports various initiatives across the organization, including completing data entry and analysis, organizing program materials and shipments, and supporting administrative and content development projects.
Volunteer and Member Engagement Strategist
Justin oversees the recruitment, training, and recognition initiatives for volunteers at all levels, as well as coordinates membership support and consultation services. He liaises with ACUI’s regions, the Volunteer Development Team, the College Union and Student Activities (CUSA) Evaluation Program, the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education, and the awards and recognition programs.
Director of Corporate Partnerships and Events
Michelle leads the program that generates revenue for the Association from work with corporate partnerships, recreation, and leisure activities. Time spent is mainly in administration of processes and people to actively share these resources with ACUI members. With ACUI for eight years, Michelle provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the partner experiences and interaction with ACUI members.
Marketing Communications Manager
Liz oversees marketing for all Association programs and services. She leads the ACUI Marketing Team and is the Central Office liaison to the regional communications coordinator and web and social media coordinators. Liz also manages publication production schedules and assists with writing, editing, and design. In addition, Liz has responsibilities related to publications and marketing for the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA).
Director of Finance and Administration
Dave directs the financial and information technology affairs of the Association. He serves as the staff liaison to the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees. Dave also coordinates human resources and benefits for Central Office staff.
Director of Business Services
Jack serves as the executive director for the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA), overseeing daily operations of this sister higher education association. He is responsible for ACUI's contract review process and new business development. Jack joined the Association as a graduate intern in 2001 and has previously served the Association as an educational program coordinator and the director of educational programs and services.
Director of Education
Zack manages a staff team that oversees many of ACUI’s educational programs and manages an intra-office work team dedicated to fulfilling the Association's overall educational objectives. He also serves as the staff liaison to the Education and Research Fund Program Team and to the Conference Program Teams.
Education and Research Program Coordinator
Scarlett manages ACUI online learning programs and supports the work of the Marketing Team by reviewing analytics data. She liaises with the regional online learning coordinators and the communities of practice.
