There are many times throughout the year that I am proud of the work that my students do, the events that they plan and produce, and the effort that my student employees and student leaders put in every day. While we all know that they are in school full time and are working or volunteering their time, it still amazes me all of the things that students can accomplish while in college, especially when they are involved.
Over the past couple of weeks, I watched our student orientation counselors and resident assistant staff prepare for and welcome the Class of 2016, and they did it with smiles on their faces and pep in their step. The amount of work that they put into the programs, events, and services is really and truly inspiring and I am so proud to work with these students each day.
We have two new staff members that started this year (one in July and one immediately following orientation), and it was so great to see their reaction to our students and the passion that they have for our Campus Center and the campus activities that occur.
In addition, our programming board has put together a comprehensive list of events for during the week, as well as weekend events as part of our Albertus@Night series.
Overall, it’s been a great start to the new academic year, and I’m sure that there will be many more proud moments in the coming months. How have your students impressed you already this year?
