The first call for videos in the Show Us Yours! campaign asked you to show us how you welcome people on campus.
St. Olaf College shared this video, created to show how the campus welcomed the Class of 2015. It features students moving in and the cheer for each residence hall.
This video from the University of Alabama not only detailed Week of Welcome activities, but also showed the numerous events and services provided by the Ferguson Center.
At Rice University, students are welcomed to campus with an annual concert on Welcome Back Day. The event, shown in this video, also includes outdoor games.
Hotdogs, inflatables, and school spirit—that’s how the University of Missouri welcomes students. Check out this video from the First Friday Fanfest.
Offering an overview of its Week of Welcome, the University of Vermont interviewed students about their experiences in this video.
Hopefully, these videos inspired some new ideas of how you can welcome new and returning students to campus. Additionally, ACUI recently released A Look at Welcome Week, which examines trends and the role of the college union in welcoming students. Download it for free today!
