Going, Going, Sold!

As a member of the Boston 2012 Conference Planning Team, I am excited to see our ACUI Silent and Live Auctions come together. Unlike past conferences, this year’s Silent Auction will be set up in a major thoroughfare of the hotel, which will provide easy access and higher visibility to conference attendees. This should boost exposure and increase overall participation. The Live Auction will occur during the final keynote session, featuring the best auction items we have received and showcasing our very own J. Scott Derrick—the always lovable auctioneer.

We are creating as much energy as possible around the auctions at this year’s conference. Follow the music and stop by the Silent Auction as often as you are able—prizes will be given periodically to those who most frequently stop by.

Of course, we could not have an auction without the generosity of our members. Thank you to those who have already contributed. Because of your support, we are able to endow scholarships, fund vital research, and further develop our organization.

If you have not yet listed your auction item, we are accepting auction items online. I encourage you to donate what you can as soon as you can. If you are unsure about what to donate, you can preview items that have already been submitted to get ideas. Quality over quantity is always encouraged. You will be given instructions on where to ship your donations during the submission process. Keep in mind that the more you donate, the more Battle of the Region points you receive. And please note that we are not able to accept donations containing alcohol due to local alcohol laws.
